Always use a professional cleaning service for your rug. We discourage consumer self-cleaning methods, as they could damage the rug’s aesthetic and quality.
Clean any spills right away by blotting them with white paper towels or a clean, white terry cloth towel. Any moisture will weaken the fiber, and rubbing the surface of the rug can cause breakage or damage.
Vacuum the rug regularly to keep it free from debris, and avoid pulling any fiber knots out of the surface pile.
Avoid using a vacuum with a “beater bar”, as it may case the rug’s fibers to pull or snag. If snagging happens, do not pull the fiber knots out of the surface pile.
Care and Maintenance
We recommend using rug pads with all Loominarea rugs to help extend their life and protect the surfaces beneath.
Pile shedding is normal with high-quality area rugs, particularly with wool or other natural fibers. Do not be alarmed if this occurs.
